Door Snakes!

Doors are drafty in an old, old house, so it was time to make door snakes! A long and narrow double-layer of fabric; folded and sewn, and filled with rice. Add some buttons and sew it shut, and you are (never quite) draft-free!

Anthropologie

Bean and I took a weekend drive to the Burlington mall, and discovered that Anthropologie did not only exist in London! It is an utterly amazing store.

A beautiful combination of colors, clothing, and home goods. Bean bought a tiny salt & pepper shaker, and I got two bowls.

My very dear sister Meel is living with her beloved boyfriend Grabule in the basement of the Bed & Breakfast where Herman Melville used to stay. They call it the Mole Hill, so I made a little plaque for them.
